Background
Fonderia L’artigianawas founded by Mr. Sesto Peri who, in 1978, with all his experience in this field, conceived and created a structure that was advanced in terms of light alloy casting. Gravity permanent mould low pressure casting is the foundations of the technology applied. By experimenting over the years, typical of a growing business, this foundry has explored many different production sectors to which it is ready to offer its services. So, from the first castings made for components of marble lapping machines and tap elements, it went to more complex items, both in terms of type and quantity.
.
Since 1982 Fonderia l'Artigiana has been doing business with the motorcycle sector, acquiring leading Clients such as Aprilia, Malaguti, MBK, Belgada, Yamaha, Benelli, Betamotor, K.T.M. and V.M. (Diesel engines). A partnership was also setup at this time with the Paioli Meccanica group , world leader in the production of front-wheel suspensions for motorbikes and scooters.
Besides casting elements for the motorbike sector, Fonderia l'Artigiana varied its line of business, casting items for other sectors as well:
● Awnings
● Furnishings for bars
● Gym equipment ( TECHNOGYM )
● Vertical pipes for draught beer
Today the company's production lines are completely automatic, using 2 presses for low pressure, 5 electric holding furnaces each with a capacity of 6 quintals, 2 smelting furnaces with a capacity of 7 quintals, a "cutting area", a grinding area controlled completely by robots, sandblasters and an X-ray unit for in-depth quality control.
Fonderia l'Artigiana is focused on technological innovation and, in recent years, has automated main machines phases: from casting raw materials with purification and degassing to implementing parts as well as casting and lapping. Guaranteeing safety and traceability of the whole production process, knowing the density and chemical properties of the alloy employed.
